Lancaster Tank & Truck Wash uses GE’s Entrapped Air Flotation (EAF) technology to treat their industrial wastewater. Entrapped Air Flotation (EAF), a relatively new technology that is more reliable, efficient and lower in cost. EAF improves upon conventional Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF), a nearly-century-old wastewater treatment method for solids, fats, oil, greases, chemical oxygen separation. GE’s EAF technology generates sludge that is up to 50% higher in solids content – reducing the amount of sludge requiring disposal – and uses less powerful compressors and pumps, reducing the energy required to treat wastewater by 50%-60%.
